The PS5 Pro will still be announced this year, or it will be unveiled at TGS in September

For months, rumors about the PS5 Pro have been buzzing. It had been expected to be released in September, but by the middle of the year, Sony had not yet officially announced it. This has also left players wondering whether the PS5 Pro will be launched this year.

Tom Henderson, a well-known uncle, recently said that the PlayStation 5 Pro has not been delayed. His internal information indicates that the console will still be launched this year.

It is reported that the PlayStation 5 Pro development kit has been sent to developers this spring. The first support certification documents for the PlayStation 5 Pro will be submitted to Sony on July 30, which is said to have been confirmed 18 months ago.

In addition, it is reported that from September 15, all PS5 game applications submitted to Sony for distribution must also be compatible with the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Henderson said that while there is no exact release date, information PlayStation released to developers earlier this week indicates that the PlayStation 5 Pro is still expected to be released later this year.

As for the announcement time, Henderson believes that the PS5 Pro is likely to be officially announced in September, just like the PS4 Pro, possibly at the Tokyo Game Show that month.
